With the start of the year, we have many new staff members with us in Bruin Nation. One of them is Administrator Mr. Trevor Thibeault, who is our new Subschool 3 Assistant Principal.
“I’ve always wanted to work here,” Mr. Thibeault said. “Both my sons are here, so working in a building close to home is also great.”
As Assistant Principal, Mr. Thibeault has many responsibilities with the goal of ensuring the support of both students and teachers.
“I help to support BITM (Business, Informational Technology, Marketing) and CTE departments,” Thibeault said. “I help make sure those teachers have everything they need, and are providing good instruction.”
“I also help with general functions, such as the weapons detection systems and supervising lunches, and I take care of SR&R violations and partner with families to support them and their students’ best interests,” he said.
The new year will be filled with new opportunities, and Mr. Thibeault is up and ready for all of them. “I am looking forward to meeting new teachers and students. I used to work in the middle school section before, so now that I am in the high school section, I am looking forward to creating new relationships,” Thibeault said. “I wanted to work with a new, larger population and variety of students, and now I get to do that.”
Outside of school, Mr. Thibeault likes to watch sports, to cook, and watch various TV shows.
“I actually grew up in Maryland, and I’m a big fan of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team,” he said. “I try to attend games as often as I can. I also went to University of South Carolina, and I have been living in Fairfax since 2006.”
