Slam Dunkin Donuts

Reviewing the many different donut options at Dunkin Donuts.

On Saturday, December 5th, I drove to my local Dunkin Donuts on a mission to get one thing- Donuts, and a lot of them.

Once I got to the Dunkin Donuts counter, I saw a donut I’ve never seen beforeThe ghost pepper donut. I knew I had to review it. I was unsure if I would enjoy it, but it was worth a try.

After I got the ghost pepper donut I still had to get many more.

The donuts I received are as follows:

Glazed

Pink frosted

Boston creme

Blueberry glazed

Chocolate Glazed

Vanilla Creme

French Cruller

Purple Frosted

Ghost pepper donut

My sister and I reviewed the donuts on a scale of 1-10 and listed features of the donuts.

Glazed

The Glazed Donut is a classic, you can’t go wrong with it. The donut had good flavor. I rated it an 8/10. My sister said it was too plain and gave it a 5/10.

Pink Frosted

Next, we tried the pink frosted donut. The donut had little white snowflake sprinkles on top, which was a nice touch since it was almost Christmas. I rated it a 4/10. I thought it was way too fruity. On the other hand, my sister loved the fruitiness and rated it a 7/10.

Boston Creme

We then tried the classic Boston creme donut. I rated it a 7/10 because I thought there was a little too much creme. My sister rated it a 9/10 because she loved the creme and the amount of it.

Blueberry Glazed

The blueberry glazed was like a classic glazed except it had bits of blueberry. I rated it a 7/10. It tasted more like a blueberry muffin than a blueberry donut. My sister rated it an 8/10  because it had a terrific blueberry flavor.

Chocolate Glazed

The Chocolate glazed is perfect for a chocolate lover. It tasted like a cupcake. We both rated it a 7/10. A little too chocolatey.

Vanilla Creme

The Vanilla creme is just like a Boston creme, but the vanilla creme had a stronger “vanilla taste.” I rated it a 9/10, the perfect amount of filling. My sister rated it an 8/10 since she wanted more filling.

French Cruller

The French cruller donut was extremely plain. there was very little, if any flavor, but the presentation was fun. We both gave it a 4/10 because of the looks.

Purple Frosted

The purple frosted was fantastic. It had great flavor without a lot of fruitiness. I gave it an 8/10, while my sister gave it a 5/10 because she thought it needed more frosting.

Ghost Pepper

Finally, we ate the ghost pepper donut so we wouldn’t ruin our taste. It was spicy and sweet, kind of like a hot tamale candy. I did not like it at all. The combination of the donut with a spicy flavor did not mix, so I gave it a 1/10. On the other hand, my sister enjoyed the flavor but wished it wasn’t as spicy. She gave it a 7/10.

I really enjoyed eating these treats and hope this helps you pick out a donut the next time you are at Dunkin!
