Aidan Hall Meets His Hero
What’s it like to meet your hero?
Seventh grader Aidan Hall knows. Hall had the opportunity to meet Joshua Bell on February 10 at a rehearsal in Baltimore, Maryland.
Being a famous American violinist and conductor, Joshua Bell is one of the “most celebrated violinists in this era,” according to his online biography.
Hall not only met the musician he most admires, but he got to speak with him, too.
Prior to the rehearsal, Hall had the chance to meet Joshua Bell and asked him various questions.
Hall was absolutely thrilled to have the chance to meet his all-time hero. The meeting was only supposed to last a minute, but he was allowed to talk to him for around 10 minutes, and ask him many questions.
“I asked a few questions as my heart pounded,” Hall said. “It was truly an honor and to meet and be able to talk to him.”
Along with the opportunity to speak with Bell, Hall also had the chance to listen to the rehearsal as Bell played a musical piece that was over 30 minutes long, which Hall thought was a very impressive sight to see.
This experience for Hall was “incredible” and Bell was very “down-to-earth” and “made me feel special.”
This was supposed to be just a rehearsal, but it turned out to be so much more.
